WEF President Praises Cambodian PM's Leadership in Covid-19 Prevention

PHNOM PENH: The founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Dr. Klaus Schwab, has praised the Cambodian Prime Minister’s leadership in preventing the spread of Covid-19 and in achieving the highest vaccination rates in Cambodia. 

The executive chairman of the World Economic Forum praised the Prime Minister during his courtesy call with the Prime Minister on Thursday, 11 November 2022.

The Prime Minister highlighted the remarkable success of the Cambodian government in its efforts to develop infrastructure to respond to the needs of people affected by natural disasters, to eradicate poverty, and in the fight against Covid-19.

Dr. Klaus Schwab congratulated Cambodia on its noble task as Chair of ASEAN in 2022, and praised the Prime Minister for his thoughtful leadership, saying he has taken effective steps to respond and prevent the outbreak of Covid-19 with great success, leading to the achievement of the highest vaccination rates.

Dr. Klaus Schwab also said that the WEF has many ways to help Cambodia's economic and industrial development.

The Prime Minister and Dr. Klaus Schwab further discussed and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Cambodia-WEF cooperation.
